Christ stays with us through suffering

During my most intense suffering through rheumatoid arthritis and cancer I felt Christ's loving, building, strengthening more prominent than any other time in my life. After I'd healed I noticed immense growth in me that couldn't have occurred any other way.

One good thing

When the darkness looms ever more dense, the goodness of God's children shines ever brighter. I picked one good thing that's come of this pandemic. Can all of you think of something good as well?

Thank You, I Will Always Love You

He took my beating. Jesus took our beating for each of us. I'm so grateful that there are other's that are willing to take our beatings as well.

You and Me

We live in a day and age of trials, sin and corruption. Now, more than ever we need to know of the character of our Father and his Beloved Son Jesus Christ. The olive tree is a beautiful way of portraying their love for us.

The Purpose of Life

What is the purpose of life? For many this question is elusive, but to me it's the easiest question in life, especially when our Heavenly Father gave us the answer.

Whose side do you choose?

The current world situation is now black and white. People are massing to the side of the devil or to the side of Jesus Christ. By their fruits ye shall know them and the fruits are now abundantly clear. Pride, hatred, greed, power and control, laziness, lies and corruption are the fruits of Satan. The fruits of Christ are love, tolerance, temperance, kindness, prosperity, forgiveness, gratitude, hard work, and so on. Which type of person do you choose to be?

My Mission Statement

I've gratefully received many awards during my career. I feel I can attribute this to my mission statement. It's unique, but if the great whore of all the earth that is described to be massive and near indestructible as outlined in scripture is totally annihilated by the Lamb in one hour then I feel I should find my strength in the Lamb who is the embodiment of love.

Lord, I Failed Thee

I received a patriarchal blessing as a youth. In it, I was told I would preach the gospel to the inhabitants of the earth. Now, 43 years have elapsed, and I feel I haven't fulfilled my promise. My heart is heavy that I haven't come through for my Savior. One night I felt the following story in a dream. I feel better, but I'm still here on my mortal sojourn and I feel there is much left for me to do.

Though Your Sins be as Scarlet

Am event occurred where one individual was very offended by another. This person is truly vial he said. Now I know his true colors and I never want to see him again. He will never change. You can't change the spots on a leopard. These comments hurt me to the core. I've seen tremendous growth in each of these individuals. Why did Jesus give his life for us if we can't learn, grow and change I asked. The answer, well, this person can't and won't. I disagree. I know our Savior loves both of them far beyond what we can comprehend. Hopefully this blog help this person to be better acquainted with our Savior, and what he is doing for both of them.

Korri

My entire life has been tarnished by alcohol. As a teenager, starting at age 16 I indulged in it frequently. With great effort at age 18 I decided I would quit and prepare myself to serve a mission for my Savior. It was the best decision I ever made. Upon returning two years later I was alcohol free, and now 38 years later I have not touched one drop. Aside from this true story and many others like it, I'm confronted with alcohol most every shift I work in the ER. It's pitiful watching the same stories as "Korri" play out. For all those that think alcohol is not devastating and destructive think again. Many of the people I take care of in the ER have lost everything--their wives, their families, their homes. Now they have one last card to play, to take their own life. What a tragedy. My advice. Shun it like the plague. It's effects are no different.

Bring It

Americans are witnessing corruption, evil and hatred as never before. The country is divided. Evil once thought of as evil is now deemed as good. Washington is a corrupt swamp. Satan is mounting all his forces for his last stand. We know the end of our world is coming soon and it's going to be awful beyond our imagination. But we also know our God is in control. We that are on his side will win. It's like a scene being replayed on the DVR. We know the outcome. I think most American's feel as I do. Enough is enough. Let's get it done.

Our Mighty Youth

Our loving Heavenly Parents have saved their most valiant children to come to earth at this time. They are preparing the earth for the second coming of Jesus Christ. No unhallowed hand can stop them for their feet are firmly planted in the Lord Jesus Christ and with him, they CAN NOT fail.

What is the Answer?

I want with all my heart to keep fasting for my wife and posterity, but each time I do, I also go without my arthritis pills and I have a flare-up of pain.

Home Again

I missed an opportunity to comfort one in need. At least I can take comfort, that our Savior didn't.

My Nursing Students

Each of us experience the hills and valleys of life. Indeed it's the opposition, those deep valleys that truly mold and shape us that we might understand to good and the positive. I have a good understanding of the deepest valleys. For me this greatest opposition was the time I spent as a nursing student. The best I can describe this tortuous time of my life is by the liberal use of the word--hell.

All I Want for Christmas

America needs a gift this Christmas. It's a gift we all need to give, but this gift we ask of our leaders. Put off your pride. This will enable you to see clearly. You will cast off the desire for power and control, and will truly love America and its people.

I Can Dream, Can't I?

I have a hope and a dream, to speak to the youth of the world. Perhaps I could be a difference in their lives. I could speak from my experiences of life, as an author, and as an emergency room nurse for nearly three decades.
