My View of Life - Never Better!

In a world that places evil for evil, and chaos rather than peace, surely the Lord is preparing for his promised return. He is the answer to the stalemate of a fallen world.

Is there a solution to the wars, chaos, sin and corruption and corruption in today's world? Do all the debates have to be contentious and inconclusive? I declare a resounding . . . NO! The answer is turning ones heart and mind to God. Loving him with all your heart, soul and mind, and then loving your neighbor as yourself.

Nursing is a beautiful and rewarding career.

Today is my mother's birthday. She would be 94. She passed 12 years ago. I thought of her all day, and finally, as the last rays of her day fade away I'm placing my thoughts on paper. These thoughts stemmed to thoughts of my eternal companion.

My feelings on Thanksgiving Day 2006 when I was informed I had cancer.

Can expectant mothers be comforted by their unborn child? If there's one chance in a million, should we not try to save one of these precious children of God? A mother's courage.

For those who read the Bible and are looking for the return of Elijah lest the earth be smitten with a curse. He did come, 180 years ago today to Joseph Smith in the Kirtland Ohio Temple.

Many years ago, Ezra Taft Benson, Prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, declared that God has placed his stamp of approval on the constitution. He also prophesied that American Blood would be spilt in an effort to preserve it. And finally, to conclude his remarks he stated, "when the Lord comes, the stars and strips will be floating on the breeze over this people--may it be so.

While I was attending a concert by the "Tenors" in Las Vegas, Nevada, and unexpected event occurred. The Tenors in esthetic fashion began offering tribute to their mothers and fathers. It touched me deeply. I went to my hotel room and penned this poem.

Exercise just a particle of faith in Christ, and let it grow. Why take a chance on eternity?

So many Americans have forgotten that they once fought for freedom. Now they've done an about face and fight for oppression. Come back! Come back!

Today I cried when I taught the youth in Sunday School for the last time, and again when I shared thoughts of a new novella with my wife tonight. I guess I cry frequently. But the hand of God in all things touches me so deeply. I hope there's not something wrong with me. In any rate, I felt inspired to write this poem.

Remember who the real enemy is--Satan. His agenda is power and control, and there are many government leaders and American's that have succumbed to Satan's agenda. People who follow Satan will flounder in their growth. Become lazy, covetous, and corrupt. Christ's mission is based on principle. He teaches us correct principles and let's us govern ourselves. Through our free agency we will learn and grow.

Though our trials may seem unbearable, Christ is there every moment of the way, loving, helping, sustaining, blessing, and . . . helping us learn and grow.

Love is the key. Interpreting it correctly through Jesus Christ's example and adhering to scripture is key. The challenge is in its implementation, but as we love and serve we are happy. The opposite--wickedness never was happiness.

For those that have strayed from Christ, come back to him. For those who wish to remove Christ from our hearts, we will seek and love him even more.

We all hope we won't be a patient in the ER especially on Christmas Day. But if you do, here's what you can expect.
